Stem Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine

Stem Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine

Now offered by Arizona Foot Doctors in Scottsdale, Arizona

Have We Found the Fountain of Youth?

We have all been hearing about stem cell therapy – the good, the bad and everything in between – but the real question is, how will it help you?

For over 30 years, bone marrow has been the choice option for stem cell therapy. This treatment method can be quite responsive but carries a hefty price tag. Basic treatment starts at $25,000 and can go as high as $250,000 in a hospital environment. Yikes! Although expensive, many patients make this investment for the life-long therapeutic benefits.

Stem cells act as a repair system for your body. Advancements in science have allowed us to achieve similar, and many times identical, results and benefits by utilizing an amniotic fluid supplement (another regenerative medicine/treatment). The best part of amniotic medicine – it’s affordable and can be administered in a simple, safe in office injection.

But shouldn’t the human body have the ability to help itself? Many ask this question when speaking to podiatrist Dr. Burns and Arizona Foot Doctors. The answer is yes. Bodies can heal themselves, but one conflict that occurs is a specific area doesn’t have strong enough circulation and can’t pump enough healthy cells to “tell” the body to start healing. Amnio-injections act very similar to a magnet. They attract your healthy cells and together strengthen and grow to attack the underlying issue. It doesn’t mask pain- it heals the cause of the pain.

Learn More About Stem Cell Therapy & Amniotic Injections

The injectable solution we offer is composed of micronized, dehydrated amniotic membrane. It has over 50 unique growth factors that primarily act as a magnet for your body’s stem cells. It is quite synergistic in the way it works! The growth factors in the solution basically “jumpstart” the growth of new tissue. It is effective in remodeling and repairing old and damaged tissue. Our injection therapy is a safe, ethical and promising alternative to pain management and treatment.

Regenerative medicine, whether it be laser therapy or amnio-injections help stimulate the body to use its own cells to heal. As new cells and tissues form, body functions will return, and pain will be reduced.

A Modern Alternative to Surgery?

Many patients will elect to have, or be pressured, into having complicated surgical procedures with high hopes of foot pain relief. Just like medications – surgery makes no promises. In fact, it’s less of an attempt to solve a problem. While our amnio-injections cannot promise 100% success or immediate relief, they give our patients a non-invasive option to surgery and painkillers. Nobody should have to hurt to heal. Unfortunately, that’s what happens when one undergoes a surgical procedure, especially on the foot or ankle.

At Arizona Foot doctors, we take a very conservative approach to medicine. Surgery is strictly a last resort. We have several in-office treatments (including amniotic injections and laser foot therapy) that are available to help you get back on your feet.

With sky-high insurance deductible s- we encourage you to visit us today to explore our affordable prices, Care Credit financing options, and cutting-edge options for relief.

Call us today for a consultation with Dr. Burns. We accept most insurances and will work with you to achieve your desired results.

Laser Therapy to Treat Foot, Ankle, and Heel Pain

Treat Your Foot and Ankle Pain with Laser Therapy

Now offered by Arizona Foot Doctors in Scottsdale, Arizona

Many patients leave their doctor believing that there are no conservative or effective ways to treat acute or chronic foot and ankle pain. Now, with the new laser treatment offered by podiatrist Dr. Burns, patients can find relief while avoiding dangerous prescription drugs, painful injections, and expensive surgeries.

The K-Laser is a safe, painless, and effective treatment for active individuals. It helps reduce pain and inflammation and enhances tissue healing—both in hard and soft tissues, including muscles, ligaments, and even bones. It increases oxygenation of tissues and allows injured or damaged cells to absorb photons of light, which essentially speeds up the healing process.

Foot Specialist Scottsdale“I have had nothing but positive feedback on this treatment”, states Dr. Burns; “most of my patients are feeling the laser going to work within 24 hours of their first session. Laser therapy is not new science- what we do know now is that it works very well and is quite effective in treating most foot and ankle aches and pains…my patients are happier than ever. Nobody should have to resort to uncomfortable injections or unnecessary, overpriced insurance surgeries that pose a greater risk than benefit. This is a non-invasive approach to pain relief that is proven effective for most conditions. It heals without causing pain or distress to your body- with zero downtime, to boot. Why hurt to heal?”

National Foot Health Awareness Month

April Is National Foot Health Awareness Month

Did you know that April has been set aside as a National Foot Health Awareness Month? If you’re wondering why foot health merits an entire month set aside for it, all you need to do is consider the fact that your feet support you each and every day of your life. Whether you are climbing in or out of bed, walking to the car on your way to work or school, or taking your morning jog, your feet are experiencing pressure at the very least and pain at the worst.

Problems Your Feet Might Experience

Even if you are careful about the type of shoes that you wear, your feet can undergo damage at the smallest incident. Many of the issues affecting the feet are minor, but for some individuals, they can become quite serious. Opportunistic infections like nail fungus can develop at any time, but particularly when the conditions are right for it. Nail fungus often begins to grow if your feet sweat a lot, particularly during the colder months when you wear socks to bed or heavy woolen socks all day long. Of course, certain types of medical conditions, such as diabetes, can also encourage nail fungus to grow.

Ingrown toenails are often the result of trimming your nails improperly, but they can just as easily develop if you wear your shoes too tight or drop something heavy onto your toes. If you don’t have an ingrown toenail taken care of by a physician, it might develop an infection. This would result in a longer healing time and possibly a lot of discomfort.

Plantars warts are uncomfortable and usually continue to grow until you have them removed. Since plantars warts are contagious, it is easy to pick them up at the gym or public swimming pool. Try to avoid walking barefooted in public areas to help prevent warts and do not ignore changes in your skin.

Hammertoes are often the result of wearing shoes that are too tight or narrow, particularly if the toe is somewhat longer than the rest of your toes. Hammertoes are easiest to deal with in their early stages, so getting to a podiatrist for treatment as soon as you notice that you have this condition is a good idea. If the problem is ignored too long a surgical correction is the most effective treatment.

Bunions are deformities that occur at the base of your big toe. They usually take a number of years to fully develop. While this isn’t necessarily a genetic issue, people with certain types of foot structure might be more prone to developing bunions, which are actually changes occurring in the bony part of the foot near the big toe.
